Luna is a Dalmatian whose humans recently brought home a younger puppy. This pup, named Lacy, seems to be fitting in well with her new family. Recently, a video of the two dogs interacting went viral on the TikTok account @luna_lacy

In the video, the two dogs can be seen sleeping snuggled up on a couch. However, young puppy Lacy appears to have a bad dream. She twitches in her sleep and emits a series of whimpers. Luna, being a good big sister, wakes up to check on Lacy. She sniffs at the puppy’s head before deciding Lacy is alright and continuing her nap. The adorable video has received over 29,000 likes.

Although scientists cannot be sure what dogs dream about, they believe that their dreams are probably quite similar to humans. Additionally, a clinical and evolutionary scientist named Dierdre Barret has speculated that it is quite likely that dogs’ human companions make appearances in their dreams.

To ensure that canine companions have sweet dreams, Barret advises filling the day with happy experiences and making sure that dogs have somewhere safe and comfortable to sleep. Experts also recommend that you avoid waking a dog who is having a nightmare. Waking a dreaming dog may startle them and cause further stress.
